Seems to have a very interesting habit... thought it was at first trimmed ...Read Moreso it had a flat top, but gardener said no... not sure if in native country (island of Soccotra off coast of N Africa) if it grows like this- sort of like a pedistal- short trunk and flat top. At least that seems to be its method of growing in a relatively dry climate in California. Given more water and shade, it grows much larger in California... and in Hawaii, it grows like a typical tree, and much much larger. It has great rust-burgundy colored leaves that are incredibly soft to the touch.
Figs seem small and hard- probably inedible.
