Unfortunately this plant overwintered HORRIBLY. Came back half dead and gangly. And soon died during the spring. The plant is gone (dead) I had to rip it out. I grow many dianthuses with success so maybe this cultivar is not very "sturdy"? Since it "could" have been my fault I will give neutral and not negative.

Foliage is spikey blue-green and evergreen. Likes well-draining soil, particularly in winter. Deadheading prolongs the bloom, though it will bloom pretty well anyway.

A happy little dianthus that has done its job beautifully in my garden and always brings a smile to my face.
