Avoid direct sunlight, putting it in a light shaded place. It apreciates warm to moderate temperatures. The flowers are huge, for an orchid, having a diameter of around 10 cm (I´m not sure), with a very distinct color pattern ("tenebrosa" means "dark", because of its dark purple labellum) and a tenuous sweet scent.
