It is a wonderful plant tho and i just transplanted with a larger plastic pot and will mist it more often....

Care for this very common,beloved, fern is much water,consistent feeding,light shade,typical fern soil with compost, and much snail bait. One of the most vulnerable ferns in the garden to molluscs. A. bulbiferum does very well in the bay area if all conditons are met. Cool winter weather doesn't seem to affect it as long as temperatures remain above freezing. Brief dips to 30f dont have much affect. I think most people who do fail with this plant do so because of one reason-- lack of water...never allow to dry out.
