Streptopus amplexifolius looks similar to Veratrum viride when plants are still shoots. While Streptopus amplexifolius is non-toxic and completely edible, it's mainly a concern because Veratrum (the look-alike) IS poisonous. Caution should be used to ensure you have the correct plant before ingesting any part of the plant.
