I bought six of these plants better than three years ago and am now looking for more to add in the courtyard as well as the woodland garden I am establishing. With our planting zone straddling 5 and 6 this plant has done really well. Although facing south and with plenty of concrete walkways to add heat there is only about two hours of direct sun shining into the courtyard. I've not seen heat nor snow damage.

I bought a specimen at our local garden show - it has very wiry, contorted foliage that promises to be interesting all on its own.
