It has a handsome shape while young, growing in a dome . The flowers are held high above the plant and at about the same time it will start to send out runners and spread quite vigorously. Runners can of course be detatched to increase the number of plants. By trial and error I've found I prefer to cut it back hard at this stage and let it come again in its original shape.
Occasionally the plants die but it self seeds so freely that I always have replacements ready.
