'Moncayo' became the most widely grown bean in Spain about 1995, largly replacing the variety 'Roma II', also from Rogers Seed Company. 'BF609' is the varieties designation in North America, where it never became succesful due to marketing reasons. Like all true Italian beans, Moncayo has a unique flavor that is enjoyed by many consumers. Easy to grow, with a large yield.
