The best place to research FL plants is: http://florida.plantatlas.usf.edu/Plant.aspx?id=3310# If you look at the specimen details, this will also give an idea of when seed is available, which should be early Nov. this year (2010).
Easily grown from seed. Cotyledons are surprisingly round like peas. Started in greenhouse last winter which resulted in blooming plants in pots 10-2010. Easily transplanted. Plants multiply at base and can be separated and transplanted. My fotos are of 2 yr old transplant.
