added this daylily because i DONT like it. does not perform well in my zone 5 garden. does not spread well, does not bloom well. the c...Read Moreolor is a sort of odd caramel with a purple eye, but the bloom turns to a nasty black puddle of mush when it gets wet. soaker hose is the only way to water this one. might look nice with burgundy leaves like one of the purple heucheras. the plant did recover from a very shaky start in our unusual snowy spring, and the fans look healthy enough, but the bang for the buck ain't there.
