Saponaria Hybrid, Giant Flowered Soapwort, Max Frei Soapwort

I have grown this plant for over ten years and it is still thriving here in my Pacific NW zone 8b garden, which rarely gets water during ...Read Morethe dry summers here. In this region it blooms early-mid summer into fall.
I cut it back to shape it in early spring and to keep it a better size for the space I have it in.
After it blooms I shear it back for more blooms and to keep the plant looking tidier.
Recommend planting this plant in the front of the boarder for best show.
To date I have had no pests or diseases issues with it either.
A great low maintenance plant.

Intolerant of the hot humid summers of the southeastern US. Hardy in Z3-7 in the east. Tolerant of drought.
