In general I find the Austins rather spindly and disease prone. This one is nice and sturdy, strong upright canes even on a plant this young, supporting the flowers well. The flowers are beautiful and produced freely (again, taking into consideration the youth of the plant) The foliage has stayed nice and clean in spite of a dismal (too wet and cold, then too hot and dry) summer
