Overwintering is pretty easy for me. I keep it in my basement where it gets some daylight. It has dropped all of its leaves and gone dormant however. I water with a large fastfood drink cup every 3-4 weeks just to keep it moist enough but not wet from November to early March.
This cultivar appears to be stem blight resistant. I located a new container of Dr Seuss beside it on my patio this summer and the D.S. started getting wierd leaves and spots on the stem. I eventually figured it to be stem blight which was not a problem for the plant when I purchased it. My supernova shows no sign of the disease after weeks of Dr Seuss showing symptoms. I will update if any problems show up.
