Free flowering with masses of flowerheads, soft pink or more often light blue. Sepals are slighly serrate. Flowers from July to the end of August. The plant withstands harsh conditions in the garden (but no zone hardiness is given). Bred by D. Baardse, Netherlands, in 1915. A second cultivar with the same name brd by Mouillere in France has disappeared from cultivation, it had white flowers with a colored eye and serrate sepals.
The leaves are apple-green. Photo of this flower shows it aging to a dark maroon red.
