Flowerheads are saucer shaped, with a partly double ring of ray-flowers with dark, rosy red, rounded sepals. Fertile flowers are conspicuously bluish. This plant is very free flowering in midsummer, and sometimes produces flowers from strong lateral buds. Suitable as a pot plant or outdoor cultivation. Buchfink means "finch."
