The flower heads are large and the sepals, on healthy and well fed plants, are huge. Even the foliage is attractive, as it is thick, nicely textured, and a deep glossy green in color.

Van Geldere...Read Moren (2004 - Timber Press): A strong growing shrub up to 5 feet or more, becoming very large. The flowerheads are composed of a ring of florets, usually mid blue, sepals slightly dentate, eventually showing their undersides. Flowers dry well. Inflorenscences can be up to 9" across. On acid soil with low aluminum can be a brilliant pink as well, but wll turn blue when aluminum is added to soil. Considered one of the best blue lacecaps.
Green leaves are shiny and luxuriant with stout stems. Protect from late winter frosts, winter protection recommended. Possibly the most cold hardy of the Teller series. AKA 'Blue Sky', 'Blue Tit', 'Teller Blue', and 'Armore'.

Grows well for me. Bought as a sale plant at Lowe's and rejuvenated. Excellent plant.
