A few months ago, when it was about 5 foot tall, I pruned it, to encourage it to flower. It soon grew back again, with lots of small red flowers, it looks stunning and needs pruning again! It's next to the water hose and got plenty of water during the drought, which obviously agreed with it. Just added a picture.
Unfortunately the other Cooperii I planted, at the other end of the house, didn't seem to like it there, it died, I'm glad I bought 2. I have a cutting, I rooted in a jar of water in the lanai, I left it there for a long time until there were lots of roots, and planted it in the front garden. I love this plant so much, I've just ordered Hibiscus Dainty White, the flower looks exactly the same as Cooperii, but white of course, and the leaves are green. Eventually I hope to write more about my experience growing them and hopefully add a picture..
