Nevertheless it has grown strongly and produced more and more bloomstalks ever year. For such a delicate looking flower, it is heavily substanced and stands up to the weather. The color is a rich, creamy coral pink with enough carrying power that it shows up all the way across the yard and always elicits comments from the neighbors. The stalks are thick and the flowers are larger than almost any other iris in the yard. Schreiner's catalogue mentions that it is a little shy on the budcount but I don't experience any problem with the budcount at all, since it blooms quite a long time for me. And this is in a location which gets, at best, five hours of sun a day.
Most fun of all was that I entered several iris stalks into the show of the SouthEast Michigan Iris Society this spring, one of them being "Mystic's Muse", and it won a blue ribbon. Apparently the judges were as impressed with it as I am.
