Orchid Iris, Crested Iris 'Variegata'

I have grown this iris in a large tub that was placed in semi-shade (where it was in full sun during early morning and no sun by mid-afte...Read Morernoon. It grew well in the tub. During a short spell of severe frost the leaves wilted but once temperatures improved all signs of frost damage disappeared. Obviously this plant isn't as tender as it appears.
It is a great plant for growing in woodland where it receives dappled light (at least that applies here in the UK). It doesn't seem to do so well when planted in full sun.
The flowers are just beautiful with their pure white background, ragged lacy edges and very attractive lilac-purple and deep yellow markings.
