"Oregon Star and Oregon Pride originated from the same F3 selection of the cross Santiam × Roma. They produce large, nearly seedless fruit with paste tomato characteristics. They are early varieties and set fruit well under cool conditions."
"Oregon Star plants are determinate, bearing fruit trusses every 1 or 2 nodes. Average fruit weight in trials was ~230 g, compared with 127 g for Oregon Spring, 185 g for Pickred and 200 g for Celebrity. Oregon Pride is similar to Oregon Star except that its first fruit ripens up to 1 week earlier, and fruits are smaller (~160 g). The occurrence of seeds in fruits of Oregon Star and Oregon Pride varied with season and location. Normally, in Corvallis, Oregon, >50% of the fruit was totally seedless with May transplanting. Both cultivars are resistant to race 1 of Verticillium dahliae."
