Our Maine winter of 2003 was very long with exceptional cold. The elephant ears hosta came up but stayed quite small only growing to maybe a foot. The flower was again late and has never set seed pods. I plan on moving it to a bit warmer location in the garden where it will get maybe 3 hours filtered sun a day to see if it will grow larger. It is a pretty plant with bluey leaves.
