"This is Ophrys balearica or Ophrys x balearica or Ophrys x flavicans. All names for a beautiful bee orchid that is found on the Balearic Islands. It's described as a species but DNA research revealed that it was of hybrid origin. It's odd though that the hybrid is common on the Balearic Islands, but that one of the parent species (Ophrys bertolonii) does not occur there. In fact the Ophrys balearica occurs there as a pure stable species and even makes a beautiful natural hybrid together with the previous species I posted."
