One of the challenges we face in Tasmania is the protection of some of our rare native orchids, this orchid Prasophyllum milfordense - Milford Leek Orchid is only found in one secure, monitored site. It has a strong 'appeal' to many insects as can be seen from this image.
Research is being undertaken at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens to help secure its future. A beautiful Leek Orchid!"
