But with a glossy, succulent texture, and a bluish matte sand paper finish powdered over the surface. The white flowers are otherworldly, and very tropical-esque. They have a very similar appearance to a mini Plumeria flower, but with very long tropical looking stamens, perfect for hummingbirds. From a distance the shrub can have sort of a Rhododendron like appearance, with leaves slightly hanging down, and abundant flowers growing in bunches on the very tips of the branches. The new growth is also VERY colorful, and tropical looking. It comes out bright chartreuse yellow, and slowly transitions to lime green from the bottom up. This shrub seriously looks like something straight out of Australia, or somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere. Hardiness isn’t known, but it is only native to areas that are zone 8a, and above here in Utah. So I’m guessing hardiness is at least 10°F. GREAT, GREAT PLANT IF YOU CAN FIND ONE!
