A very nice pond plant -- mine, at least, holds its leaves out of the water, although I believe that some of the species have floating leaves like traditional water lilies. The flowers start off bright yellow, then shade to orange and eventually plunging below the water, where they will release their seeds. Native to Eastern Asia, where it commonly grows in ponds, lakes, and streams.
