I wanted ...Read Moreto correct the information which had been mentioned about origination of oak "Timuki". The plant of the oak was discovered in the forest near the house "Timuki" in Stelpe willage, Vecumnieki region in Latvia (not in Lithuania) by local man Mr.EduardsTimuks in 1933.

Only in 1946 the name "Timuki" was given to that tree when it had been recognised by Latvian botanists.
