And there are two more flowering spikes waiting amidst the thick foliage for their turn to show off their captivating blooms with emerald green sepals. This vigorous hybrid, which last bloomed 10 months ago, are found across India, China, Indonesia and the Fiji Islands. The simultaneously opening flowers smell like honey but are short lived. Coelogyne orchids are not among the most commonly kept orchids so you might not find them easily in your local nursery. Among the Coelogyne species, the typical colour is white, sometimes with shades of green, brown or peach."
