Stemodia is a rapid grower and will bloom the first year from seed. Deadheading will encourage new blooms.
Propagation from seeds: in a mix of two portions compost, one portion river sand and one portion peat (previously soaked for 24 hours). This mixture is then covered with a thin layer of reiver sand, on which seeds are distribute. Cover with some more sand. Transplant into individual pots once the plantil has developed 2 true leaves.
