Cyrtanthus 'Alexandra'

I hybridised three different species from the Cyrtanthus mackenii complex and Alexandra is what came out. Here in Camperdown/Natal/South Africa/Africa (0C in mid-winter) it is frost hardy, although it actually never gets frost settling on it. It is a greedy feeder and enjoys lots of water. It is kept under 40% shade cloth (our summers get up to 40C temperatures), so some shade is needed here. The hybrid does not carry PBR or patient rights, It is more fun to stay ahead of the pack than to restrict people from breeding off of my hybrids.
