And even better it’s endemic here in Utah, and grows nowhere else in the wild! The foliage almost looks like a Texas Sage (leucophyllum) mixed with some kind of plump succulent or something. Its leathery succulent leaves are basically perfectly adapted for the very hot, dry, somewhat high elevation environment of the Colorado Plateau. The foliage is almost white it’s so silver, and it stays that way year round come heat or cold. It is a shrub that needs basically no maintenance or pruning whatsoever, it is naturally about as attractive as it gets. This plant would be absolutely perfect for a Mediterranean or Southwestern style garden. Pairs beautifully with agaves, cacti, yuccas, and other silver leaved broadleaf evergreens. I have a feeling this plant will catch on almost immediately as soon as the public is able to have access to it. Definitely one to look out for!
