It has pretty good form, holds its foliage about nine to ten months of the year, and blooms a couple of times a year, spring and fall. Sometimes it's a showy bloom, but often it's partial. The tree doesn't get much water -- it's growing next to a thriving Fremontodendron -- but it doesn't seem to suffer at all from the minimal irrigation. The flower color is beautiful. Bloom lasts max 2 weeks.
