Tomato 'Abu Rawan'

This is one of the few tomatoes that continues to set fruit when the heat sets in. The tomatoes themselves are not large, but the flavor...Read More is good. I try to grow a few each year to make sure I have tomatoes if we have an extremely hot year.
This year the heat set in much earlier than usual, so I'm glad I have a few in the garden. Most of my Abu Rawan tomatoes are golf ball size. Some are larger than others, like Stupice tomatoes are, but none of them are what I'd call slicers.
They are very juicy and have a lot of flavor, so despite being small, they're not tasteless. Our summers are usually hot and long, so when my favorite tomatoes drop their blossoms without setting fruit. Most of the Iraqi tomatoes that I've tried, continue to set fruit when the others don't.
