But! before then,the cats broke a couple of stems. My wife put the stems in a cup of water and one has rooted and as I write in May,Its a wee 3" plant ready to go outside in bright shade.
So,much more to learn about outside growing of this tender plant.
June 2017: I planted it out. Some things I noticed about this plant- its more frost sensitive then green plants,and it does not like hot sun. Better in filtered light or even bright shade. Slow growing too. At least outdoors.
