This is more hardy then z11..10a is good enough. I haven't seen any frost effects hanging it under a patio to the occasional 32f low.
Under hi light levels the foliage can redden or even become an attractive purplish.
Needs constant moisture- but not soggy soils. Its a real eye catcher even if its a shy bloomer..never covers itself like some Aeschynanthus do. But with this kind of foliage,blooms are a bonus.
