Howev...Read Moreer, last year I saw the 'Trusty Rusty' coleus variety for sale at either Lowes or Home Depo and I bought it. It grew much larger than I had expected and became the main focal point in my garden. It helped bring some much needed color in my tropical garden! Every time I looked at this plant, it made me happy to see such glowing color. After this plant took off growing soon after planting, I did try some more random coleus but they didn't grow at all. This one for me truly lived up to its namesake as being TRUSTY! Some of the leaves got very huge. On some of our hot Florida summer days, I would show up to the garden after work and see this coleus drooping from all the heat, but after a watering or once shade fell on it again, it would pop back up like it was never looking pitiful at all. It only ever got one single flower spike, and the whole plant was so huge I just let that one branch flower. I just wish coleus could survive being kept outdoors through the winter. I planned on taking a cutting of this plant to keep indoors over the winter, but I was a lazy gardener and the plant was killed by a cold night. I do plan on growing this variety again. My main problem now is figuring out what other types of coleus will perform as well or better than this one. I'll probably look into coleus that grows quickly and gets big since that is what I loved about this variety.
this is the most vigorous, full, and large, sun-tolerant coleuses I have grown.

Combine it in a large pot with calibrachoa "terra cotta", and lotus vine.
