I get comments on its unusual beauty from many people driving by. Nothing else really compares to it. It is a pretty aggressive grower when planted in the ground and easily obtained 4-5’—not quite as aggressive or impressive in a pot. I will have to say it was difficult to get out of the ground at the end of the season as the root ball grew from the 4-6” when I planted it, to closer to 15-18” at the end of the season! It has never wintered over here in Springfield Mo. My problem, now, is where to find it to purchase. Santa Rosa Gardens, where I always purchased in the past, said to post on your site to see if I can possibly locate a source. I have found one source, but it was for wholesalers and buying a flat of 38 plugs. Maybe your readers can help. I would also be interested in information on Princess Caroline—a redder slightly smaller version but impressive in its own right.
