This form is absolutely gorgeous and would compliment the Asian garden or conifer collection immensely while being easy to grow. It has the twisted pale-mid green foliage typical of the species, though of shorter more congested needles, in a compact and full bun form with enough irregular branching to give it interest. The color and form of this unique US native shrub contrasts nicely with blue conifers and brightens the garden. It will continue to spread while only reaching a height of a few inches (6" in 10 years).
