Endemic to the south of France and Spain, it loves full sun, good drainage, and hot summers. Drought tolerant once established, it prefers a dry site and does well in poor soils. Self-sows where happy, sometimes aggressively. Deadheading extends the bloom season and prevents self-sowing.
