Needs well drained soil. May benefit from afternoon shade in hot summer climates (such as eastern North America).
This is commonly listed as a cultivar of creeping geranium (Geranium soboliferum), but it differs from the species in its size and season of bloom, and in Chicago it was apparently a much better performer. I suspect that it may be a hybrid.
