"This is a cross I made. It was tissue ...Read Morecultured at Rancho and is Agave macroacantha crossed onto a nice large form of Agave victoria reginae (non offsetting form). Seldom offsets but does also slight marginal teeth. (a Tissue Culture mutation of Royal Spine also has teeth so this character alone does not always narrow it down but that plant will offset even as a young plant)."
Kelly Griffin's remarks on Agave 'Royal Spine':
"This plant (Agave 'Royal Spine') was obtained by Allen Repashy from Tropic World and Tissue Cultured at Shady Oaks and Xeric Growers by Allen and I. It is a cross of Agave macroacantha with victoria reginae but both parents were small and offsetting forms."
Agave 'Royal Spine' does offset easily.
