I found a sport of a solid big purple bloom from a clump of Prince Valiant's. So I cut part of the tuber off(I marked it) and the rest seems to stay put and not change color on me.
You can tell on the second photo of the zoom out shot that the petal got a big streak of purple on one of the blooms. Half way through mutation with a solid purple transformation.(3rd photo) No photoshop was use here. Freaky. Even when it mutates the solid purple sport certainly got a lot of compliment from my neighbors. So far the seperated tuber still gave me the "true" Prince. The "false" Prince doesn't change back to "true".
