My son recieved this daylily from his friend Shiela in Illinois who specializes in pre-1960s historics through one of her online auctions; and this fan we have from her, that is now a large clump, apparently came out of Perry's original batch!

This plant is a Dormant, but grows very well in Zone 8b. A little extra room should be given between SUNSET and other Daylily cultivars because SUNSET is mildly stoloniferous. This trait has been reported in climates from Michigan to Florida.
