In 2010, this rose won an ADR---that's Germany's trial for performance under low maintenance conditions, with no fungicides, similar to t...Read Morehe US Earthkind trials. Few ADR winners are hybrid teas, but this is one hybrid tea that belies the class' reputation for fussiness.
Long, pointed, ovoid buds opening to 4" flowers, cream shading to pink in the center. Very full form with 40-45 petals, cupped-to-flat, sometimes quartered, reflexed, ruffled bloom form---more old-fashioned in form than your typical HT. The petal edges are often cut or fringed, and the color is often picoteed. The outermost petals sometimes tinged green.
Moderate to strong rose fragrance.
Flowers mostly solitary on long stems, occasionally in small clusters.
Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Vigorous, very resistant to black spot, said also to be resistant to powdery mildew. Hardy at least to Z5b. Said to be more vigorous than most HT's when grown on its own roots.
