I find it bizarre that under 'Seed Collection' cones are referred to as 'seedheads,' and that the next sentence is 'Unblemished fruit mus...Read Moret be significantly overripe before harvesting seed; clean and dry seeds.' Could this information be meant for something other than a white pine? 'Unblemished fruit' certainly doesn't sound like a pine cone. 'Overripe' doesn't quite resonate either. Collect the cones when they are brown and still closed, i.e., before they dry out enough to open and disperse their seeds. Let them dry where you can collect the seeds.
