I have a pair under my front bay window with a Summer Wine Ninebark on one side and a dwarf double file on the other, a little devil dwarf ninebark nestled between them in front. The next layer of shrub are low sprawling abelia (both glossy and varigated), dwarf purple weigelia, magic carpet spiraeas and small gold mound spiraea. My focus when redesigning my front landscape was to focus on textures, colors through all seasons and these hydrangea fit in perfectly. They are a little leggy, but I have smaller shrubs in front.
