I came across a small patch of this planted in a raised street bed in Delaware in October 2016. I knew it was a kind of Smartweed (Polygo...Read Morenum) with ornamental selection. There were two nursery tags that identified it as Persacaria 'Orange Field'. It looks nice. This Mountain Fleeceflower species is native to China, the Himalayas, and Pakistan. Since I am involved in the American Native Plant Movement, I am not going to be passionate for this, as it might escape cultivation.
