Due to an impending garden move I had to dig all of the baptisias up. The roots were very well established but I was able to successfully dig the plants and even to divide a couple for replanting into a new garden. This variety has smaller leaves than the straight species and tends to be a bit shorter. It can spread but does not seem to be as big as the species. Wonderful introduction!
