Produces a nearly black, oval (about 3cm long) sweet table grape (not good for wine making) that matures in July to August.. .unfortunately it is not a great grape for super hot inland climates as the grapes are extremely prone to adhisce (split apart) when the temps get over 100F... which has finally happened this week near the end of July (this is the coolest summer in memory)... but I finally got a crop of grapes instead of split raisins as I have every other year... grapes are huge and come in very heavy bunches. Plant happily grows up into the tallest trees and grapes produced farther from the ground seem less prone to split apart (but if 40' up a tree, pretty hard to harvest). Flavor is sweet and pleasant, but not overwhelmingly so. Perhaps mine are not quite ripe yet. This one vine has grown up several trees up to 40' and has made no less than 1000 grapes easily... most out of my reach. Birds and squirrels sure love them!
