It did fine in the New England climate--it didn't rot or die--but it seemed to want more sun for blooms.

Consider planting over rocks or stone walls where you can appreciate it's trailing habit. It was inadvertently buried when our home was under construction and it came back without missing a beat. It loves full sun but tolerates partial shade but with limited flowers. One plant has a spread of two feet wide. The only drawback is that it doesn't choke out weeds, they seem to pop up between the succulent stems. I have seen this grow aggressively along neglected highways in California. Here in upstate South Carolina is does well in south or west sun.

I never saw anything so beautiful. It has spread over the top of a larg rock and sparkles in the sun. The surprise this year was that it is now blooming pink and dark fuscia and what a welcome surprise it is as it bloomed 2 years briefly with only pink flowers. I am waiting this year to see just how long it blooms...
