The blooms are comparatively small, but the quality of the petals is splendid and if the growing habit of the plant were as good as TAMATBAKO, TOKIO and AMA NO SODE, it would deserve to rank with them. However, althought it blooms prolifically, its growing habit is not perfect, and so notwithstanding its excellent color, we do not rank it as one of the really great Japanese Peonies, and we hope that some hybridizer will soon be able to produce a bloom of this splendid color and high quality on a plant which has good landscape value. $6.00
